I really like reading about sea mucous. Clumps of mucous can be up to 200 kilometres long and smell like so many butts it makes people not want to be at the beach. Fish and sea mammals can be caught in the mucous and suffocate. AND huge sheets of sea mucous can sink like a blanket and dutch oven everything on the ocean floor to death.
